Who I Am

I’ve been a product technology leader with over 15 years of experience in healthcare, specializing in benefits and administration. I’ve served in a number of different roles, helping to scale products and teams for early stage health tech startups:

  • VP of Product for an early stage provider data management startup
  • Head of Product for a startup benefits administrator (acquired in 2021)
  • Lead Product Manager to launch a global benefits platform

I’ve been successful thanks to my diverse experience across startups and corporate organizations, including CVS Health, Willis Towers Watson, and Deloitte Consulting. I have a unique perspective where I understand all parts of the healthcare ecosystem and have a toolkit that applies to various products and team sizes.

What I’ve Done

I’ve managed products from inception through steady state and worked with executive leadership and functional teams to deliver exceptional outcomes:

  • Scaled member-facing product to support over $100M in medical claims and 10k+ members, which generated $5.7M ARR
  • Designed and launched mobile-friendly user interface and enhanced administrative capabilities to serve 50k members
  • Built multiple product organizations, which included scaling team from zero to 5 product managers and 40 engineers
  • Defined and executed product vision to use gen AI tools to reduce data acquisition costs by 90% and improve data accuracy by up to 20%
  • Launched an Employer Portal that reduced member enrollment errors by 10-15% and improved employer satisfaction by 5-10%
  • Defined and launched an analytics data model and visualization tool that reduced analytical data efforts by over 50%

How I Approach Product

  • I am the Chief Problem Solver – my role is to identify the biggest pain points for all stakeholders, then solve them primarily, but not exclusively, using technology
  • I build bridges – I sit at the intersection of user experience, technology, and business
  • I am a servant leader – I empower engineering teams by providing direction and context, then allow them to decide how the product should be built
  • Execution matters – product strategy is a dime a dozen, execution separates good companies from great companies
  • Nothing is static – companies must have a growth mindset and continually improve to stay relevant
  • Tailor to the situation – while I have deep experience, I’m not beholden to any specific frameworks, approaches should be tailored to the organization and their business
